Lexington Pet Clinic

A Devastating Experience We Will Never Forget. I am writing this review to warn other pet owners about our experience with this clinic. Our dog suffered a permanent injury during her time in their care, and the consequences have been devastating for her and for our entire family. Since this happened, she has simply not been the same dog. Her quality of life has been significantly affected, and we are now facing ongoing monthly medical expenses just to manage her pain and help her function as normally as possible. When we discovered the injury, we contacted the clinic to discuss what happened, obtain answers, and find a fair way to address the resulting medical expenses. What followed was incredibly disappointing. Rather than showing compassion for an injured animal and a family dealing with a heartbreaking situation, management became defensive, dismissive, and hostile. There was no meaningful sense of empathy or willingness to take responsibility for what our dog experienced. Because we wanted to be completely objective, we did not simply rely on our own assumptions. We sought multiple independent examinations from outside veterinary clinics, including specialized orthopedic evaluations. The conclusions from those evaluations were consistent: our dog sustained a permanent injury during her time at this facility. Think about that for a moment. We trusted this clinic with a member of our family. Our dog came home injured, her life was permanently changed, and we were left dealing with the physical, emotional, and financial consequences. What has been most disturbing is not only the injury itself, but the way this clinic responded afterward. When we needed answers and compassion, we were met with defensiveness and a refusal to meaningfully address the situation. Our experience has completely destroyed our trust in this facility. If you are considering bringing your pet here, I strongly encourage you to do your research and understand what happens when something goes wrong. Based on our experience, we would never again entrust one of our beloved pets to this clinic. Our dog deserved better. Our family deserved better.

My wife and I were there last week for a routine exam (09/04/26) with our dog for a bunch of shots due at this time. Most people were very pleasant especially the receptionist. However when the Doctor started performing the exam on our dog, she started and continued to speak to my wife and not myself. Granted the paperwork is in my wife's name due to convenience since I can be out of town due to work at times. My concern is the Doctor spoke to my wife specifically.... and not to the both of us. She seemed to avoid speaking to me, not to mention eye contact, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Maybe the Dr. thought we were not married or I was the dog sitter.... not sure. When I mentioned something about my dog, she just starred at my wife. She didn't seem to care. I will switch the paperwork into my name for the next visit and see how it goes...Awesome place but not sure about Dr. Terhark. Hopefully, she will figure out how to treat clients by our next visit.

Everyone was so kind, and made sure I had had understood everything.

The staff at LPC are wonderful and my dog is treated with the utmost care. Wonderful place and HIGHLY recommend for your pets care.
