New Hope Animal Hospital Mn

New to the area and spent a considerable amount of time researching where to bring my pets. I made an appointment for my cat that was almost 2 weeks away. I got a voicemail while I was at work that a deposit was needed. Since I was at work I wasn't able to call back before they closed for the day. I went to work the next morning before they opened and got another voicemail that they canceled my appointment because I didn't pay the deposit. To give me only 24 hours to return your call, for an appointment weeks away, was disappointing. I made a new appointment on a Saturday for Monday morning. I called on Sunday knowing about the payment policy but the office was closed. On my way to my appointment Monday morning, I got a call that my appointment was canceled for not paying. I had never been given the opportunity to pay for this appointment! Wasn't asked when I scheduled it online and the clinic wasn't open to take it by phone. I said I could give it before the appointment started and was told my spot was already given to someone else. The employee also accused me of trying to "work the system" because I knew I needed to pay in advance. How can someone pay if you don't give them the opportunity to? Horrible policy and very rude employee.

Absolutely unacceptable service and a complete disregard for clients’ time. I booked an appointment online on Saturday for Monday morning. This clinic requires a deposit within 24 hours, yet I received no email with payment instructions. I tried calling to pay, but the office was closed. How exactly was I supposed to pay a deposit when no one was available to take it? I took time off work and planned my entire day around getting my cat to this appointment. Then, just TEN MINUTES before it was supposed to start, they called to cancel because the deposit hadn’t been paid. I was already driving there, only five minutes away, and ready to pay. You accept online bookings while your office is closed, provide no payment instructions by email, and then punish clients for not paying. That is a failure of YOUR booking process. My cat needed veterinary care, and I had made arrangements to get him there. Instead, I lost time off work and was left scrambling to find another appointment because of a situation your own process created. A deposit policy is no excuse for poor communication and a last-minute cancellation. This was easily the worst experience I’ve had with a veterinary clinic.

Always a great experience with NHAM. All staff take amazing care of my cat and they have been able to offer excellent treatments with his autoimmune disease.

Friendly staff who are extremely reasonable and give good advice. Really appreciate their text line for things that we aren't sure are important enough for a actual appointment. They treat our dog great and really make an effort to ensure that she doesn't leave hating going to the vet. They also understand that things can be expensive and make sure to inform us of what is actually necessary to address and what we should just keep an eye on.
